Blog Candy ...

****** The colour challenge is the post under this one ******

Hello, what's this Mammy?

What is this white stuff that falls from the sky and lands on my patio?

That, my beautiful little chap is the 13 inches of snow that has covered the Ribbon Girl kingdom since Saturday and is the very same snow that we keep clearing from the kingdom only for it to return in the very next blizzard!

So, we're covered in snow and whilst an extra 2 days off work for Andrea has been very nice we would like it to go away now and leave us alone, we've also been suffering from website gremlins but thankfully the technical people have sorted those for us.

If anyone else is feeling a little snowed in how about some beautiful Ribbon Girl Blog Candy?  Just leave us a comment on this post before Andrea goes to bed on Sunday and you might win this gorgeous ribbon wreath made by our super talented friend Gail

Colour Challenge #3

Colour Challenge #3
Hi, welcome to the latest colour challenge here at the Ribbon Girl
The challenge this month is to create a project with the main colour focus of lilac, pink and white and use the InLinkz button at the end of this post to enter your project. The links will close on Sunday December 12th (Midnight UK time), and we'll randomly select one project to win this gorgeous prize from the Ribbon Girl

Please mention The Ribbon Girl in your blog post, use the colours lilac, pink and white as your main colour focus and be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your project. You don't have to use ribbons on your project but it would be nice if you do :o) We'll post the prize worldwide so we need to be able to contact you through your blog.

Our fabulous Design Team have created some beautiful projects for the challenge

Expanding Our Design Team

We are really excited that Gail has joined our team permanently and that we have not one, but two fabulously talented crafters joining us as a guest designer for November/December!

We'd like to welcome Jane and Bev to the team as guests. Jane has been a friend of the Ribbon Girl shop since we opened and we both love the cards that she makes. We were so pleased when she said 'yes' to our DT invitation. Both of us have followed Bev's adventures in cardmaking through her blog for ages and ages and we were so thrilled when we crossed our fingers and sent her an email wondering if she'd be our guest - and she said yes!

We're looking forward to seeing what our Design Team create this month and remember, we are always looking for guests for our team and to add to our customer gallery

Let's Get Merry

So who could resist this sweet little chap then?

As if the penuin wasn't cute enough Lucy added that fab red and white saddlestitch ribbon which totally finished off the card - and is my favourite ever ribbon by the way!

Silk Ribbons ... and other new things

Hello, it's Andrea here writing todays blog post. We've had a fantastic weekend at the NEC craft exhibition. We spent lots of pennies ... *ahem* pounds!! and hauled a huge stash of goodies back up the M1 last night. We spent Friday evening at our favourite Indian restaurant in Lutterworth where we met up with an old friend and then shopped yesterday before driving back home.

When we got home we were met with even more goodies as we'd had lots of lovely parcels delivered to The Ribbon Girl. We now have gorgeous silk ribbons in pretty colours, Stickles glitter and mini bottles of Glossy Accents
The Glossy Accents have a story attached to them. I use GA for sticking almost everything but especially for sticking buttons onto my cards. The big bottles last forever but I keep having to cut the top off the lovely long tip as it gets too blocked up and then before I'm even half way down the bottle I've got no tip left and then it isn't so easy to get the glue where I want it.  But then I discovered the mini bottles of Glossy Accents which are just perfect, the size of a bottle of Stickles and I never have to chop off the tip. We love them, so we bought them for the shop as we guessed that our customers will love them just as much.
We also have a new section in the shop for Stickles as you can never have too much glitter and the Stickles add that perfect finishing touch to paper projects

So, having shopped all day yesterday I have crafted all day today :)
I used some of the gorgeous silk ribbon and the Stardust Stickles for this card

(papers by Nitwit Collections, MS holly leaf border punch, Papermania cardstock, Craftwork Cards scalloped cardblank, Ribbon Girl silk ribbons and Stardust Stickles
