DT Andrea made lots of these last year and hung them on her Christmas parcels - she called them Angels because it was Christmas and she made them cream and gold. This year she made a whole set of them in rainbow colours, they're currently on her tree but after Christmas she'll be taking them into school to hang in her classroom (she teaches in Rainbow class) and this year they are Fairies :) Whatever you call them this is how she makes them ...
cut felt into dress shapes
give them arms using the silver twine - make hands by knotting the ends
add a wooden bead to a long length of silver twine and pearl beads for their feet
add their body to their arms and dress and keep in place with the other side of the dress
draw eyes and a smiley face
cut suitably sparkly wing shapes from silver glitter mesh and attach with more of the double sided tape
Hey presto! you've made a Fairy ... or an Angel ...
Don't throw away the scraps of felt - stack them up, thread onto more of the silver twine and turn them into a rainbow coloured felt Christmas tree :)
This is the image that she found online last year which gave her the idea and then she tracked down this blog to find out how to make them
See you soon, Mary x
Fab decs make, love the tree one especially. Happy New year Andrea !
