August Colour Challenge ...

Hello and welcome to our August Colour Challenge. This month we want to see what you create using the colours pink, lilac, blue, green and tangerine

We have a gorgeous inspiration photograph to help kick start your creativity and of course some fabulous creations from our Design Team

Our lovely friends from Lili Of The Valley are once again giving our winner a £10 voucher to spend in their online store - there is a new launch of Christmas stamps coming out this week so perfect timing for someone to win a voucher to spend!

Ribbon Girl are also giving our winner a beautiful yellow ribbon kit

Our rules are very simple - create a new project using the challenge colours, blog about it mentioning this challenge then come back and link us to your project using the InLinkz button at the bottom of this post. Please be fair to the other entrants and don't backlink to old projects, this is meant to be fun for everyone!

Wow - we're so proud of the fabulous performance by everyone on the Great Britain 2012 Olympic Team - whether they won a medal or not - all of the competitors, coaches, mentors, scorers, volunteers, every one of them - that we're offering a fabulous Gold Giveaway to celebrate the 21 Gold Medals (that was the total as at 17.37 gmt on Tuesday 7th August 2012)  and who knows how many still to come!!

August Card Challenge

Hello! Can you believe that we're into August already? Before we know it summer will be over and we'll be into the rundown to Christmas (a few of our Design Team have already started on the Christmas cards!)  As always our Monthly Card Challenge is sponsored by the Ribbon Girl with a £10 voucher as well as our lovely friends Lili Of The Valley who will give the winner a stamp of their choice from the Lili Of The Valley store - it's a good time to stock up on your Christmas stamps too :)

This months challenge is a bingo challenge - simply select 3 items in a line (up, down, across or diagonal) from the bingo board, create a new card (no backlinking please) blog about it mentioning our challenge then use the InLinkz button at the bottom of this post to link up your card

Mandy made this pretty card embellished with felt, lace and top stitch thread - and in the background, a beautiful pin cushion with felt, lace, buttons, twine and pins

Tab made this fabulous multi layered card featuring Tilda with Magnolia and added

Pleated Organza Ribbon, Lace Bias Binding, Resin Flower, Crown Pin, Pearls and Cluny Lace.

Dawny P is getting ready for Christmas here with a fabulous card featuring a new LOTV stamp, gingham ribbon, polka dot button, black button twine, self adhesive pearls, pink carnations and pearl string

Becky made this lovely card for her daughter and used top top stitch thread, glitter organza and 8mm self adhesive heart pearls.

Jane used cream/black gingham ribbon, a pink polka dot button, top stitch thread and some button twine on this cute card.

Astrid designed this beautiful wall hanging using White vintage seambinding, White Flate Lace and 38mm White Guipure Lace

Tiets is catching butterflies here - she used various lace, Tile Blue seam binding, ivory button twine and self adhesive pearls

Lucy made this adorable card and added cream seam binding behind that beautiful flower embellishment

and to finish here are two cards by Andrea, who used the same Tilda with Daisy image, but shown in different colours - the first has a Zva pearl flourish, pearl teardrop pins, ivory concertina ribbon and ivory organza beaded rose ribbon

this one in pink features tiny pom pom trim, beaded organza rose ribbon, hat and laf pins,

and some Zva clear crystal lines

It's a small world ........

Mega talented Ribbon Girl DT member Gail said we could offer her fabulous 'It's a small World' sculpture plus her amazing piece of wall art as a give away prize .... thank you Gail!

So many of the best athletes in the world are here in the UK at the moment for the forthcoming Olympic Games, it really is a 'small world'

Gail used blue star pins, wool felt, baby blue mixed buttons, self adhesive pearls, blue medium pom pom trim, 4mm white pearl string, seam binding, blue cotton lace - all available from here.
