Pretty in Pink ...
Our lovely friend Bev made these beautiful cards last month for us and I'm only now getting them up on the blog. I do have a good excuse though as Mary (my Mum) has been in hospital for an operation so I'm by myself in the Ribbon Girl shop for now. Anyway, I thought I would share some pretty projects from our fabulous Design Team over the next few days to give Mum something nice to look at :)

A little bit snowy
The Ribbon Girl world went white and sparkly this morning when we woke up to 4 inches of snow
We thought this little project by Gail was the perfect addition to the blog on this cold and snowy day

Cards from Jo
These are Jo's cards, we love how she packs on layers and layers of paper and embellishments and mixes up modern and vintage :) Jo's amazing blog is full of fabulous cards like these and can be found here
(Jo used organza ribbon and button twine)

Sew Sweet
Kath makes the most gorgeous cards and when this popped into our email inbox there was a sharp intake of breath!
Isn't it gorgeous? I love the little details that Kath has added like the polka dot button on the front of the sewing machine, the thread running through the machine down to the needle and the lace positioned to look like it is being sewn in the sewing machine.

A Decorated Gift Box
This is the gift box that I made for a family wedding we all went to on Saturday. It started off life as a pink and blue patchwork effect heart shaped box with a leaf pattern all over it - it really was as dreadful as it sounds - so I changed it.
The papers are all from a digital kit by Zoe Pearn called Serenity
I used these gorgeous pearls from 3DJean, I love that in one pack you get all the different sizes which was just perfect for this project as I wanted to use lots of different sizes
I used guipure lace, loopy ribbon, white organza and the rose is from the seasonal, special offers section - all adhered using the ultra sticky double sided tape

Baby Cards
Jane and I have both been playing with ribbons, paper and digital stamps by our talented friend Lori Boyd and we made a few new baby cards
Jane made this beautiful Sugar and Spice card, I love how she attached the little charm to the ribbon by hanging it on the fancy pin

(plain grosgrain and fancy pins)
I used the boy version of that stamp to make this card. I added a scrap of lace across the bottom and tied the buttons up with bakers twine
(lace and bakers twine)
My girly baby card was a bit non traditional as I stayed away from pink and went with red - just in time too as our neighbours became Grandparents for the second time so this card went nextdoor to celebrate their new arrival
