New Products Added Today

The postman delivered a box of lovely goodies here today and they have been photographed and are now in the shop, we have another delivery arriving later this week and yet more new goodies on their way from America, should be in stock within the next couple of weeks.

I can't wait to play with these new ribbons especially this 38mm wide grosgrain stripe ribbon

We have restocks of the holly leaf cut out ribbon and have added this gorgeous silver leaf cut out ribbon - both can be found in the seasonal and special offers section of the shop, and finally we have the spotty organza in white, we'd missed it off our last order but it's in the shop now

Polka Dot Buttons and other pretty things!

Lots of lovely colours of polka dot buttons are back in stock including the popular pale lime green and lavender. Debbie made a gorgeous card and added one of the lavender buttons as an accent to the flower. I love how she made the design using patterned papers and the pastel colours are gorgeous!

She has also been busy creating for the festive period and created this gorgeous Christmas card using stamps from Banana Frog, stitched edge ribbon and a pretty diamante ribbon buckle
I love the non traditional colours of this and now I feel inspired to get sparkly with diamante buckles!

Tooth Fairy

Something to make life easier for the Tooth Fairy when she is searching under pillows for missing teeth in the middle of the night!

I used a sqaure kraft decorative envelope and painted all the edges white before covering each section with paper. I added some blingy brads, swapped the natural twine to candy pink bakers twine and outlined each edge with Stickles.
The label is cut with a Nestabilities tag die

Inside the envelope is a small pink organza drawstring bag that I have decorated with a gingham bow, polka dot button and a fairy charm, All of these were stitched to the bag so that it still opens and closes - for adding the teeth!

We have a limited number of Fairy charms and they can be found in the special offers section of the Ribbon Girl shop

We have only got a couple of hours left for our colour challenge before the challenge ends

Design Team Projects and a Shop Update

You might notice that we have been having a move around in the shop (and are still working on this). During the last few weeks we've taken delivery of lots of new products and expanded our range of ribbons and ribbon embellishments so much that we've had to create several new sections to the shop. Also some ranges were 'sharing' a section but now that we've added extrra colours and designs we've given these their own home.  I shall try to go back through the blog and change the links to products but in the meantime, if you do follow a link and end up in the wrong section of the shop the sidebar will help guide you to where you need to be.  It might take us a few days to get everything where we want it and we're also waiting for a couple of deliveries from America with new products so keep checking back.

We've had a great response to our Colour Challenge and it's open for another week, there is a great prize on offer in the prize draw so enter your project and you might win

Sew Sweet

Kath makes the most gorgeous cards and when this popped into our email inbox there was a sharp intake of breath!
Isn't it gorgeous? I love the little details that Kath has added like the polka dot button on the front of the sewing machine, the thread running through the machine down to the needle and the lace positioned to look like it is being sewn in the sewing machine.

Colour Challenge #1

This is the first challenge here on the Ribbon Girl blog and it's a colour challenge
The challenge is to create a project with the main colour focus of black, white and orange and use the InLinkz button at the end of this post to enter your card. The links will close on Sunday October 3rd (Midnight UK time), and we'll randomly select one project to win this gorgeous prize from The Ribbon Girl.

As long as your project is linked by Midnight (UK time) October 3rd, you will be in the draw.

Please mention The Ribbon Girl in your blog post, use the colours black, orange and white as your main colour focus and be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your project.  You don't have to use ribbons on your project but it would be nice if you do :o) We'll post the prize worldwide so we need to be able to contact you through your blog.
